Ever since the movie 2012, people have been scared about the world ending in that year because of the earthquakes, solar flares, meteors, and of course, the movie's images.

Scientists do say there is NO REASON to think anything is happening to change Earth's future, but some of the recent events still have people talking.

The earthquakes have been very powerful this year. Examples are the ones in Haiti, Chile, and in Baja. Even though some were more powerful than others, people are still scared.

Solar flares are explosions in the sun that explode into space. In 2012, people believe they will be very big. There have also been big meteors over some of the USA.

And of course, there was that summer movie last year. In the movie 2012, many disasters, like the ground splitting apart, major flooding from ocean and core growing, occur.

The majority of people, however, do not believe the world will end and we will continue to survive as a planet.
