Check Out the Pound
Editorial by Sammy
At the West L.A. Animal Shelter, which is called a pound, there are many homeless animals like dogs, cats, and rabbits.
"Pounds" are not the same as a "Rescue." At Animal Rescues, the animals will be kept until they find a forever home. At the pound, the animals will not be kept forever; they will be put to sleep.
At the pound, there are more pit bulls than any other dogs. Many times people have bred pit bulls to fight. Many people think that pit bulls are dangerous. Some pit bulls are very friendly and need a loving and caring forever home.
If you really want to make a difference to the world, then you may want to visit an animal shelter, and possibly find a home for an animal. At the pound, there are too many animals to care for, and they don't have enough room for the animals. They start putting the ones that have bad behavior to sleep, which is very bad. So please help the animals at the pound!
