UCLAB reporters asked 27 Ucla Lab School students what their favorite season was on May 8, 2009, to find out what the most popular season was.

Here are the results:

Summer: 12/27 Votes

Summer was very liked in the crowd of people interviewed. They thought that Summer had great warm weather, and it was fun to get out of school and have some free time.

Winter: 7/27 Votes

People loved Winter because they liked to sit at home and do nothing, while sipping on a cup of piping hot, hot chocolate.

Spring: 5/27 Votes

Spring was fairly popular. Some people loved the just-right weather, while others found it quite plain.

Fall: 4/27 Votes

Fall was not very popular. People thought it was kind of boring, because school begins in that season, but some people liked the red and brown atmosphere.

So in the end, Summer turned out to be the #1 season. Everyone has different opinions, but this time, Summer won it all.

Simsly Fantastic

The Sims 3 is a simulation life game, the latest in the long running Sims franchise, and released on June 2, 2009, with better graphics, more realistic AI, and tons of added features.

When I started the game, I was blown away by the crisp 3D graphics. It was a big uplift from The Sims 2. First off, instead of all the tips appearing immediately in the main menu, they came step by step. In short, the simplicity of the game was severely improved.

In the Create-A-Sim tool, where you create a family, I was quite amazed with all the choices. Not only could you choose presets of clothes, you could create your own color and style. It was also easy to represent anyone you know with all the facial features you could tweak with. Not only could you change the appearance of the sims, you could change their personality! You can choose 5 traits out of about 100 to change their personality. For example you could make them a couch potato, ambitious, friendly, a little hot headed and tons more! Sims could be toddlers, children, teens, young adults, adults, and even seniors!

Building houses could never be easier in The Sims 3. You just simply build walls, add floors, and make sure you don't cross your budget. You can choose from all kinds of items, categorized by room. Like in Create-A-Sim, you can use a tool called Create-A-Style. What this does is it lets you completely decide what color the item is, and the design can be your creation.

Your sims act more intelligent in The Sims 3. They can do the simple things in life, like going to the bathroom and cooking, so you can focus on the more important things in life. The whole neighborhood grows with you, everyone grows older. The interactions between sims are much more realistic than in previous sims games. Now, instead of loading screens anytime you wanted to go somewhere, you can just simply walk there, in a jiffy. The gameplay in The Sims 3 is fabulous.

The Sims 3 is available for Mac and PC right now. You can download additional content from The Sims 3 Store on www.sims3.com/store. The Sims 3 is $49.99, and The Sims 3 Collectors Edition is $69.99, but it is totally worth it.
